ICOM Talk: Sharing Migrant Stories

As a museum, how do you compellingly tell stories about immigration? How do you guide visitors trouhg feelings of love, loss, fear and hope? Two museums that do an excellent job of telling these stories are the Tenement Museum and the Ellis Island Museum, both in New York. This city is pre-eminently a place where people have been leaving and arriving for centuries. Annie Pollman, director of the Tenement Museum and Diana Pardue, director of the Ellis Island Museum, will tell you all about their methods and experience in this ICOM Talk.
A must for all museum professionals looking for inspiration on how to tell universal human stories.
